Morwenna MacDougal, a success at an ad firm, comes home
to the family getaway in the mountains of Virginia on
Christmas Eve. Her family meets for the annual Christmas
that is strained for several reasons this year. Her
divorced brother Shawn with his 2 small children, her
younger brother Bobby, along with her father and mother,
begin their holiday by finding an unconscious man in the
snowbank. Gabe Lange professes to be a police officer who
has been bested by his prep, Luke DeFeo, and left for
dead.
Luke appears at the home professing to be the police
officer decked out in Gabe's uniform. Now the family is
undecided as to which is the outlaw and which the good
guy. With the blizzard in progress, the men are each
handcuffed until their identity is proven. All source of
communication is out and the family begins to trek down the
mountain on foot in the deadly snow to the tavern below in
hopes of uncovering the truth. Thrown into the mix is an
ex-wife rescued from a snow bound vehicle near a cliff and
a desperate meeting of the minds of the family to risk
their lives in uncovering the truth. A bright star, love,
and faith lead the family to the season of miracles
and angels. The MacDougal family brings Christmas into
their hearts.
AN ANGEL FOR CHRISTMAS a tale of the miracle of an angel
fills the heart with
new found faith and love. Each of the characters strives
to find in life that which is their true destiny. The
over-achievers learn that they need to follow their hearts
as this will far outweigh settling for successful careers.
There is an abundance of thrills and suspense throughout
the story with a very "warm and fuzzy" ending.
A snowy mountainside...
A starry night...
The makings of a miracle...
Christmas has never brought out the best in the MacDougal
family. Still, year after year, they gather together in the
Blue Ridge Mountains to try to make the season merry and
bright. But this year is an especially strained one, with
Shayne’s impending divorce, Morwenna’s slavish devotion to
work and Bobby’s reluctance to face what life has to offer.
They’ve never felt less like a family.
Then, in the midst of a snowy sibling shouting match, a
mysterious stranger appears. He could be a criminal, a
madman—or something far more unexpected. Despite their fears
and the growing danger in the dark woods around them, the
MacDougals take a leap of faith. But when another stranger
arrives on the mountainside, they don’t know which of them
to believe. One of these men can’t be trusted. And one is
about to bring Christmas into their hearts.
’Tis the season of miracles…
