SNAPPED, book 4 in Laura Griffin's Tracers series, brings
Sophie Barrett and Jonah Macon front and center. The
attraction between Sophie and Jonah was hinted at earlier in
the series. Now, Sophie finds herself on campus trying to
register for classes when a shooter opens fire. Caught
hiding behind a statue watching people die, Sophie does what
she can to help the police. Jonah, quickly on the scene,
realizes that Sophie is caught in the shooter's line of
fire. Stopping the shooter and getting Sophie out safely is
his top priority. With the incident over and the shooter
dead, the investigation turns to tying up loose ends and
make sure there aren't any other victims.
When the details of the incident begin to emerge, Sophie
goes to Jonah with her suspicions that there is more going
on than the police realize. If Jonah doesn't believe her,
how can convince a team of investigators? Soon, Jonah finds
himself protecting Sophie as a witness and someone who he
realizes is much more than a friend.
SNAPPED is a great addition to the Tracers series. You won't
be able to put this book down. The excitement starts on page
three and doesn't let up until the last page.
SOPHIE BARRETT THINKS SHE'S LUCKY TO BE ALIVE. SHE MAY BE
DEAD WRONG.
On a sweltering summer afternoon, Sophie Barrett walks into
a nightmare. A sniper has opened fire on a college campus.
When the carnage is over, three people—plus the
shooter—are dead, and dozens more injured. Sophie
escapes virtually unscathed. Yet as details emerge from the
investigation, she becomes convinced that this wasn't the
random, senseless act it appeared. No one wants to believe
her—not the cops, not her colleagues at the Delphi
Center crime lab, and definitely not Jonah Macon, the
homicide detective who's already saved her life once.
Jonah has all kinds of reasons for hoping Sophie is
mistaken. Involving himself with a key witness could derail
an already messy investigation, not to mention jeopardize
his career. But Sophie is as determined and fearless as she
is sexy. If he can't resist her, he can at least swear to
protect her. Because if Sophie is right, she's made herself
the target of a killer without a conscience. And the real
terror is only just beginning...
