Lady Clarissa Collins managed to trick famous painter,
Bernard St. Michelle, into giving her painting lessons
after being rejected repeatedly by other painters in Paris.
Clarissa pulled off her ruse by dressing up as a man, a
talent which would later come in handy. But when Bernard
recognized Clarissa's talent with the paint brush, he
agreed to secretly give her lessons in his studio.
Clarissa devoted herself to her painting in order to forget
