BORN OF SHADOWS is another great installment to Sherrilyn Kenyon's League series. I really enjoy her books and this one did not disappoint. I enjoyed Caillen's character. He may come off as a rough and imposing but he also shows us that he has a soft spot, and that is Desidera. She herself is a strong woman and holds her own. She is a soldier as well and ready to defend her Queen at all costs. The two make a great couple. I loved the banter between the two and the inner dialogue that they each have about the other and what is going on. In the end, they must find out just what their true feelings are for each other and what that means. Seeing the growth of their love was a strong point for me in this story. I really enjoy seeing true love find root and blossom.

With action right from the start, this book pulls you into Caillen and Desidera's dangerous world. Each character is well developed and full of emotion and depth making this a book that should be on everyone's to be read list, especially if you are already a fan of this author. Not only do we get a romance but we also get enough action to keep the reader entertained.
