Jake Rivard is back in Grosse Pointe for 24 hours and in
that time he has to find a way to convince Anne Blake to
return home to Idaho's Silver Valley with him. Jake and
Anne have known each other since they were kids and Jake has
been in love with Anne for what seems like forever. Jake
has an adventurous soul and is always on the move but now he
finally has a place he can call home and he wants Anne to
make his home complete. Jake and Anne have always been
great in the bedroom but convincing Anne that there is more
to their relationship than sex is not going to be easy.
Jake has come up with a plan to ask Anne to use her
accounting skills to help him clean up his finances but she
must go to Idaho for at least two weeks to achieve the goal.
Jake only hopes that 2 weeks will be enough to convince
Anne into forever with him.
Once again Jake Rivard has thrown Anne Blake's life in to
complete chaos. Every time Jake shows up, Anne falls in to
bed with him. And every time Jake walks away to go on one of
his many adventures, he leaves her behind to mend a broken
heart. All Anne wants in life is stability and Jake is the
furthest thing from that goal, so this time Anne refuses to
give in to the desire and need she feels whenever she is in
the same room with him regardless of how Anne's heart aches
for him. This time Jake is asking for her help in managing
his finances but in order for her to do that she must
accompany him to Idaho to get her hands on his paperwork.
Reluctantly, Anne agrees if only to help a friend in crisis,
but she never expects to enjoy the wild land and she
especially doesn't believe Jake is ready to settle down in
one place. Anne is determined to ignore what her heart
wants but can she deny what her heart feels?
Jennifer Greene's SILVER AND SPICE is heartbreaking yet
entertaining, especially as we watch two destined souls
aching to find each other again. I love it!
Jake Rivard has been back in Grosse Pointe for only twenty-
four hours, and already banker Anne Blake's well-ordered
world is in chaos. Again. Every time the man with the sexy
silver-gray eyes shows up, she falls into bed with him. And
every time he walks away, there's an ache in her heart she
can never ease. Now that she has the stable life she's
always craved, Anne's not about to let him seduce her
again. No matter how much she wants him to.
Jake's not leaving this time without Anne by his side. He's
determined to marry her, despite her insistence that their
relationship doesn't work outside of the bedroom. All he
asks is that she spend two weeks with him in Idaho's Silver
Valley, managing his finances. And if it will prove to her
that they have more in common than lust, Jake's prepared to
keep his hands to himself for the whole trip.
But is two weeks enough time to convince Anne that the only
thing standing between them is the wall she's built around
her heart?
