Four men meet in Washington, D.C., and work to uncover government conspiracies. Each brings a different skill to the table, all are concerned with justice. Oliver Stone (not his real name), Caleb Shaw, Milton Farb and Reuben Rhodes are the Camel Club. What they witness during one of their meetings proves that conspiracies do exist -- and they're unsure how this one will end.
Luckily, they have some Secret Service connections (Agent Alex Ford) and a lot of willpower because they're going to need it. The murder they witnessed will reverberate throughout the U.S. government, and all four men fear for their lives.
That, of course, is not the only plot going on in a Baldacci novel. The CAMEL CLUB is guaranteed to keep you curious and turning those pages. While Alex and some of his cohorts are great characters, the real draw in this book is the Camel Club. Those four old men are well-drawn characters who will have you pounding the chair and turning pages to make sure they win the day. I've never read a Baldacci I didn't like -- and the streak is continued with this book.
