Denver DJ Kitty Norville is keeping one mother of a secret --
she's a werewolf. Her late-night syndicated talk show is a
big hit with the dusk to dawn set. Kitty offers free advice
nightly to the Undead and the lycanthropes of the Front
Range, not to mention those who are unfortunate to be in
love with them. With such a high profile, it's only a
matter of time before Kitty's secret is divulged. She's
outed one night during her show by an assassin who's hired
to kill her on the air. Kitty thinks fast and manages to
dodge that bullet, but she can't seem to keep from making
enemies; powerful enemies who will stop at nothing to see
her dead.
When a rogue werewolf cuts a swath through the city feeding
on humans, Kitty is called in by the police as a
consultant. The alpha male of her pack demands she quit her
show, stop talking to the cops and let him take care of
things. Instead, Kitty teams up with the assassin
originally sent to kill her and goes hunting. What she
finds when she comes face to face with her prey sends her
into a tailspin.
KITTY & THE MIDNIGHT HOUR is lots of fun. To say it's a
page-turner would be an understatement. Vaughn doesn't
waste time with a lot of filler. She makes every word count
and has something to say on every page. The story is well-
paced, the characters are entertaining and everything comes
together in the end. Kitty is sure to become an urban-
fantasy fan favorite.
VAMPIRES. WEREWOLVES. TALK RADIO.
Kitty Norville is a
midnight-shift DJ for a Denver radio station—and a werewolf
in the closet. Sick of lame song requests, she accidentally
starts "The Midnight Hour," a late-night advice show for
the supernaturally disadvantaged. After desperate vampires,
werewolves, and witches across the country begin calling in
to share their woes, her new show is a raging success. But
it’s Kitty who can use some help. With one sexy werewolf-
hunter and a few homicidal undead on her tail, Kitty may
have bitten off more than she can chew...
