Is Trevor Rivette the hunter or the hunted? As he journeys
to New Orleans when victim number four turns up, Trevor
begins to ask himself that very question. He is a special
agent with the FBI and has been following this serial
killer for 18 months. And the killer is sending "mementos"
to Trevor from each killing.
When a mysterious caller shakes up New Orleans radio talk
show host Rain Sommers, Trevor gets involved and believes
the caller and the serial killer are in some way tied
together. As the two of them work together, a sexual heat
builds between them that neither can squelch. However,
horrid childhood memories from both of their pasts keep
them tentative about any kind of a relationship or
revealing too much of themselves.
This romantic suspense borders on being a thriller, with
plenty of blood to go around for the "Goth" culture that is
involved. The story will keep you on the edge of your seat
and turning pages to see just what lies just around the
corner. Great read by new author Leslie Tentler!
Late-night radio show psychologist Rain Sommers is used to the crazies who call in to rage from the back alleys of the French Quarter and the shadows of the bayou. But one caller's chilling obsession with her and her long-ago murdered mother - an iconic singer beloved among the city's Goth community - has even the jaded Rain running scared as a sadistic serial killer known as the Vampire prowls New Orleans. FBI agent Trevor Rivette is convinced her midnight caller and the killer are one and the same. As it becomes disturbingly clear that the Vampire has a sick bloodlust only Rain can satisfy, she allows Trevor to get closer and closer. But he soon discovers that his secretive past and troubled present are intertwined - and that he may die trying to keep Rain's fate out of a madman's control.
