Ghost hunter M.J. Holliday and her band of ghost hunters are headed for Dunlow Castle in Ireland to tape an episode for the cable television show, Ghoul Getters. Her producer, Peter Gophner - Gopher to his crew - chose Dunlow Castle not only for its promise of supernatural phenomena, but also for the rumored treasure secreted away by the original owner of the castle.
The locals warn the Ghoul Getters away from Dunlow Castle almost as soon as they arrive. More than one fortune hunter has met their doom on the island, accessible only during low tide, but the intrepid ghost hunters won't be discouraged. Gathering their tools and their courage, they head for the island and immediately encounter the ghost of one of the unlucky fortune seekers, reliving the moment of his death. Undeterred, they continue on, only to encounter the real terror of the castle, a mysterious phantom. Unlike anything M.J. and the team ever encountered in their ghost hunting careers, they're all ready to vacate the island and return to the states. Unfortunately, Gopher has disappeared, seemingly a victim of the phantom, and M.J. refuses to leave Ireland without her producer. Aided by the original owner of the castle, M.J., Gilley and Heath plan their attack on the castle, hoping all their preparations will be enough to save them from the wrath of the phantom and allow them to rescue Gopher before they all meet the same fate as those who have gone up against the phantom and lost.
Victoria Laurie's GHOULS, GHOULS, GHOULS is the 5th in the Ghost Hunter mystery series, and it's one of the best. Filled with laugh-out-loud moments and nail-biting, hair-raising tension, this fast-paced, action-packed ghost story will keep readers hooked from beginning to end. M.J. and Gilley's relationship provides many light moments throughout, and M.J.'s encounters with the phantom are truly terrifying. Ms. Laurie's glimpses into the paranormal world are guaranteed entertainment, and GHOULS, GHOULS, GHOULS doesn't disappoint.
When M.J. Holliday and the crew of her cable TV show,
Ghoul Getters, venture to the haunted ruins of Dunlow
Castle in Ireland, drawn by the legend of hidden treasure,
they hope the road will rise up to meet them, that the wind
will always be at their backs-and that the resident phantom
won't push them off a cliff. If they treasure their lives,
M.J. and her ghost busters need to get the drop on the
menacing phantom...

Chapter 1
For the record, I am not a morning person. Especially
not this morning, because, technically, I believe it was so
early, it still might qualify as being the middle of the
night. Still, the hour did nothing to dampen my producer's
enthusiasm while discussing the next shooting location for
our cable TV show, Ghoul Getters. "I know you guys don't
want to hear too much about the history of the place we're
investigating," Peter Gophner-aka Gopher-was saying as the
entire cast and crew were seated around a table at a small
cafรฉ in the airport, "but in this case, I really think it's
necessary."
I felt something heavy hit my shoulder, and when I
turned, I saw my best friend's head resting on my shoulder.
"Gil," I whispered, nudging him with my elbow.
"ZZZZZZZZZ . . . ," he snored.
My fellow ghostbuster, Heath, laughed quietly. "He's out
cold," he said. "He looked pretty wiped out when we left
the hotel."
"ZZZZZZZ . . . ," Gilley agreed.
I sighed, yawned, and tried to focus on the map Gopher
was laying out on the table. "As you know from your
tickets, we're heading to Ireland. From the airport we'll
travel by car to the village of Dunlee and check in at our
lodgings. Once we get a little rest, we'll head here."
Blearily I followed Gopher's finger, which had zipped
over the map to rest on a small X that seemed to be just
off the coastline of the channel that ran between Scotland
and Ireland. "Are we going scuba diving?" I asked.
