A McKETTRICK CHRISTMAS In 1896, Lizzie McKettrick is finally heading home to the Triple M Ranch from the "normal" school for young women she's been attending for the last two years. Only days before Christmas, traveling via the train during a blizzard are children, a soldier, a peddler named Nicholas Christian, her hopeful future fiancé, Whitley Carson and Dr. Morgan Shane, among other passengers.

The true meaning of Christmas reveals itself as the passengers become family in surviving a derailment and avalanche, which completely encompasses the train. With Lizzie's strong family upbringing and constitution she and Morgan take charge for everyone's survival having the faith that Lizzie's devoted and loving family will risk all to save them.

A CREED COUNTRY CHRISTMAS Julianna Mitchell, teacher at an Indian School in Montana, has been left to fend for herself along with four of her wards when the school is suddenly closed. Her brother Clay, refusing Julianna her inheritance, leaves her with no means of survival during the rugged winter and no shelter. Widower Lincoln Creed comes to the rescue and gives shelter at his ranch house until a solution can be found. His young daughter, Gracie, is delighted. A more permanent solution becomes available for Julianna as Christmas nears and love finally comes to her. A threat of losing the small Indian children she has come to love invades her happiness.

Both stories are full of hope and miracles of the Christmas season. I loved the warm and fuzzy feelings projected throughout the most wonderful holiday of the year. The best is brought out in every character and makes this a time for renewal. The heroines in both stories are exceptionally strong-willed, but warm and loving women seeking happiness for everyone.

SUMMARY

A McKettrick Christmas

Lizzie McKettrick is on a homebound train with a Christmas Eve surprise for her family—a special young man, Whitley Carson. He might seem a little too interested in the McKettrick money, but Lizzie's certain Whitley cares for her deep down. But fate has a surprise for Lizzie—Dr. Morgan Shane. When their train is stranded by a massive avalanche on Christmas Eve the handsome doctor takes charge— with Lizzie by his side. Time's running out for the passengers. But with faith, hard work and some unexpected help, it just might be a joyous McKettrick family Christmas after all...

A Creed Country Christmas

In the Montana wilderness of 1910, Lincoln Creed is up against more than rustlers, wolves and winter storms. His young daughter, Gracie, has needs beyond the beans and bacon he can barely cook. The widowed rancher must find Gracie a suitable governess who won't set her sights on him. Disowned for her refusal to marry, the young schoolteacher Juliana Mitchell seems like a perfect fit in the Creed home. As she gets to know Lincoln and Gracie, Juliana suddenly doesn't feel so strongly against marriage after all. In the season of miracles, Providence just might find a way to bring these souls together in a wonderful Christmas blessing.
