Alright readers, find a quiet little spot, grab your favorite beverage, and prepare for a treat. Stephanie Draven is a very talented writer, and you will not want to put this book down. When you open POISONED KISSES, you are entering the rich world of mythical War Gods and their offspring, action, romance, and steaming scenes between two people you pull for. You will hope they get their happy ending and find that person who is their other half.
Stephanie Draven has written a beautiful story that I definitely recommend (and, yes, I will be reading the next one as well!). As an added bonus, you will find a short story at the end of the book. Wow, it is better than chocolate!
In POISONED KISSES, we meet Kyra, the daughter of the war god Ares. Born into darkness, she is on a mission to destroy what her father feeds on... war. Kyra is a heroine with attitude, searching for meaning and a true purpose for her life. Kyra is a nymph of the Underworld, a former lampade for Hecate. She is complicated, emotionally flawed, kick-butt in a fight, and able to give and enjoy carnal pleasure.
Her purpose is to destroy Marco Kaisiris, a shape-shifting hydra arms dealer. The many atrocities he has witnessed have turned him into a hydra, a being capable of taking on the identities of those who have harmed him. Marco's magnetism, his raw sexuality, and voice may be Kyra's undoing. Marco is damaged, complicated, and emotionally flawed. He is on his own mission for a cause he believes in, never knowing that the war gods are after him for their own evil plans. Their first meeting is hot, sexy, and full of lies. Action, war, poisoned blood, and two very complicated people you will fall in love with make POISONED KISSES a wonderfully told story. Stephanie Draven is fearless in her writing. She draws you in, leaving you at the crest of the wave wanting more.
Stephanie Draven has a voice that is smooth. The end of the book comes much to soon. Draven weaves a story with a different take on Greek mythology by including lots of action and a sexual tension that will leave you wishing you could be Kyra. This book has everything, and I hope she has many more stories for us. She has a new twist on the paranormal, and I greatly enjoyed it. This will be the book you tell your friends about. You will be waiting impatiently for the next one. Stephanie was very kind in sending me POISONED KISSES to read and review before it was released to everyone. Thank you, Stephanie!
Daughter of the war god Ares, Kyra had been born into
darknessβa darkness she'd vowed to annihilate. Just as she'd
destroy the notorious Greek arms dealer Marco Kaisiris for
feeding the bloodlust she despised. She'd use her nymph's
carnal powers to seduce him, then slay him. But Kyra wasn't
prepared for Marco's secret weapon.
For millennia Kyra had avoided mortal men, but she couldn't
resist Marco's magnetism, his raw sexuality. Time and again
his sculpted body took her to heights to which only the gods
soared. That he was a shape-shifting hydra she could
forgive, but not his one fatal flawβhis poisoned blood could
kill her. Kyra had fallen for the only being who could
destroy herβ¦. Yet how could she spend eternity without him?
