The Llewellyn family has been protecting the King and Queen for generations as Vampire Slayers. Rosalind Llewellyn is the first Druid female to carry the mark of the Vampire Slayers making her work and training harder than other slayers. Rosalind's summons to the court of the current King and Queen promises to be a difficult task, since that new King has no idea that Vampires exist. It is up to Rosalind to explain the situation to the King, hoping to get the access she needs to protect them all. To Rosalind's dismay, the Druid Slayer, Sir Christopher Ellis, is also at court complicating the situation. The Llewellyn and Ellis families have been at war for years with the Ellis side slowly diminishing her line. Yet with the danger lurking at court, they may have to set their feud aside.
Druid Slayer Sir Christopher Ellis can't believe the Druids are insulting his skills by sending a woman to challenge him at court. Sir Christopher's loyalty is to the Vampire Council and their rules, while the Druids are out to destroy those he is to protect. Rosalind Llewellyn's beauty is obvious, but the fact she is quick-witted and extremely talented with various blades provides a challenge to his ego. Sir Christopher is unable to avoid the circumstances that force him and Rosalind to join forces to stop the threat against to crown. Dead bodies are turning up everywhere. Thankfully, the situation is somewhat contained until Sir Christopher and Rosalind can find out who or what is murdering innocent people. A prophecy written long ago proves fate has other ideas in mind throwing a Vampire and Druid Slayer together.
