"What's an overly sensual couple to do when both of them have sworn never to marry?"

Romance Historical

At 31, Viking Princess Ingrith Sigrundottir is beyond acceptable marriageable age by her own choice. Refusing all proposals of marriage, she has taken refuge in the care of the orphans at Rainstead Orphanage. For the orphans and Ingrith to escape the vicious commander, Loncaster, they steal away to seek refuge at Hawk's Lair. Lord Gravely, a full Saxon, suddenly finds himself with Ingrith accompanied by a herd of uninvited children.

The feisty Ingrith becomes enthralled with the handsome Saxon and plots a 12-step plan to lure John into her web with intent to trap him into making love to her. Not planning to ever marry, this is her chance to experience sex and eroticism. The two of them are constantly bickering and bantering even as they test the waters in teaching Ingrith the finer art of sexual peaking without penetration. Even though Ingrith is tantalizing, John refuses to consider marriage, and especially children, believing in a history of family insanity. Escaping to her father's home with a secret in tow, Ingrith does so to protect John, whom she has fallen in love with even knowing he will never marry her. It's spit and fire when they finally meet again.

I thoroughly enjoyed the highly amusing bantering between Ingrith and John while they experiment with their sexual trysts. This is one funny and highly entertaining read, and I will definitely search for more of Sandra Hill's books. The sex is extremely erotic and certainly inventive. It was sheer pleasure reading this book where the last page came far too quickly.

SUMMARY

THE VIKING IS A PRINCESS...

And all she wants is refuge for herself and one unique orphan from a vicious Saxon commander who would harm the children and destry her honor. At her age, she no longer expects to find a husband, or even a lover, especially not the arrogant Lord of the Bees!

THE KNIGHT STUDIES BEES...

And what he longs for is peace and quiet. John of Hawk’s Lair is certainly not seeking a nagging wife and noisome children. As a knight in the king’s service, he spends his cherished time at home working on his beekeeping experiments. So when an irksome Viking princess comes barging into his castle with a horde of orphan children he does everything he can to get rid of her.

TOGETHER THEY MADE HONEY...

And find a sexual attraction that sparks between them despite their differences, one that soon turns into a fiery love that neither can deny.
