Romance Historical

Marabella Whittingham of London has a mission to avenge her best friend Sarah's death. Unfortunately, the plan she has devised for revealing the man she blames involves kissing the suspects. Marabella has been waiting for her absent fiancé of six years to appear after absconding to America. Having never seen Camden Thurston Brackley, the Viscount Stonehurst, she is totally shocked at his sudden appearance. Thus begins the problems of her risqué behavior and tainted reputation.

Having been deceived by a previous fiancée, the reason for his earlier disappearance, Camden has no intention of marrying anyone. He agrees to falsely continue the engagement to Marabella to buy time for both himself and her. To his astonishment, he becomes completely mesmerized by his intended. After learning of her scheme, Camden joins Mirabella's efforts and together they weave a web of excitement and intrigue.

NEVER A BRIDE is a delightful tale full of mystery and intrigue. The characters are witty and conniving. I found this an easy book to read and it kept my interest throughout. Marabella is totally captivating with her risky actions prompted by her total devotion to those she loves.
