For ex-Senator's wife Dr. Daphne Barrett life is completely different than what she always dreamed. Daphne's ex-husband ruined that for her with his extramarital affairs, leaving her a single mother with teenage boys and few options. Needing to find a purpose, she joins Doctors Across Water, which is why she is now on a freighter heading to Somalia to use her knowledge in medicine to cure the sick and ailing children. But the Indian Ocean off the coast of Somalia is plagued with pirates commandeering freighters and ransoming the passengers and the ships for millions of dollars. Daphne thinks she will never feel connected to another man until she meets the ship's captain.

This is the second book in the Savage Seven series. The characters are strong, yet vulnerable, with chemistry that burns the pages. A great read!
