The girls of the Sisterhood are vigilantes who have just
completed another successful mission and are now ensconced
in the getaway at Big Pine Mountain. Their close friend and
ally, Lizzie Fox Cricket, has recently been temporarily
appointed as the White House Chief Counsel for the first
female president, Martine Connor. Lizzie is in a somewhat
precarious position as her husband is a well-known Las
Vegas attorney.
Rumor has it that Lizzie will be nominated to the Supreme
Court, and the Sisterhood is determined to use their
combined efforts to see that she gets what she wants.
Lizzie's connection to the vigilantes is definitely an
obstacle, as well as her husband's Las Vegas connections.
The girls of the Sisterhood have been waiting for their
pardons from the President, as promised. However, when
President Connor threatens to renege on her promise, they
develop an extraordinary scheme to steal their pardons.
GAME OVER is another addition to Fern Michaels'
Sisterhood series. The Sisters, as well as their
counterparts, are all unique and extremely interesting. I
found it to be a unique turn of the tables that the women
are the exciting heroines rather than macho men. I have not
had the pleasure of reading other novels in this series,
but will definitely do so. I also look forward to future
stories about the "girls" in the Sisterhood.
With yet another successful assignment behind them, the
ladies of the Sisterhood have enjoyed a relaxing break
together and celebrated the wedding of Myra and Charles on
Big Pine Mountain. But as soon as the newlyweds return from
their shortened honeymoon, they are hit with some exciting
yet unsettling news…
It seems their dear ally Lizzie
Fox, recently ensconced as Chief White House Counsel, is
rumored to be near the top of the short list for a soon to
be vacated seat on the Supreme Court. While the Sisters are
thrilled for Lizzie, they are concerned about her being
ripped to shreds in the approval process, partly due to her
connections with the Sisterhood. They also fear it will
delay or even derail their long-awaited pardon promised to
them by President Martine Connor. It will take a masterful
plan, and loyal friends aiding them at every turn, for the
Sisters to succeed in protecting Lizzie while securing their
own freedom at last.
