She arrives at the French chateau where he is staying and discovers him surrounded at all times by bodyguards who prevent unwelcome guests from getting close to him. Hannah devises a scheme but her antics are discovered by the Duke who is very displeased with the lengths she has gone to see him. This is an enjoyable love story about trust and loss with a bit of espionage.

Louisa Burton is a gifted novelist and is published under several other names. She understands the general ingredients necessary for good fiction, but two things she does well are characters and descriptions. Her concise, yet good, character and scene descriptions draw the reader into the story. For example, a minor character who appears for a few short pages is described thus "...swastika neck tattoo, studded motorcycle jacket, striped stovepipe pants, the clown boots, and chopped-up lampblack hair that had been waxed and sprayed into a calcified semblance of disarray." In another scene you can hear the sound effects: "The crack-crack-crack of Galiana's stilettos grew louder, underscored by thudding from the big, multi-buckled boots..." This is the fourth book in the Hidden Grotto Series. This erotica is not just about the sex. The characters, craft and story matter.
