All hell breaks loose when Shiloah Blake, an underwater archeologist from the University of San Diego dig team, surfaces the waters of Mumbai Harbor in India. Bodies float in the bloodied water as Shiloah recues her closest friend and teammate, Khalid Khan, who has been shot. This begins her journey into espionage and involvement with US Government-trained operatives of the Special Forces, always on the run escaping death.
Shiloah, unaware of a planted microchip, is unable to identify the different agencies tracking her every move. Reece Jason investigates the nuclear arms "dead drop" that caught the innocent divers in the melee. Being aware that Shiloh's estranged father is one of the "top" agents, Reece's intent is to protect her, but not to fall in love with her. Treachery, accompanied by RPGs, M4s and Snipers keep the two on their toes, but not enough to avoid being beaten, electrocuted and water boarded. Before they can consider taking their attraction any further, they have to find a way to mend the burns, scars and broken bones.
If you want an action-packed story with all the excitement you can handle, this is the one! I could not put this book down and ended up reading it in one session. Shiloah is an extremely intelligent and tough cookie. Dealing with her emotional challenges, only to be caught up in terrorist activity, pushes her to the limit. Certainly a thriller full of action and a scary look at underworld terrorist activities.
