Katherine Meyer's past is coming full circle now that the man she fell in love with all those years ago is selling his artifact collection. She is desperate to retrieve a piece from that collection before it sells. Katherine is hoping to sneak into the auction without being seen, but something goes terribly wrong, necessitating a hasty exit. During her escape, Katherine sees the men responsible for her predicament attending the auction and decides she is going to have to come back from the dead to convince her ex- lover he is not safe. Before she can talk to him, he is attacked, so she quickly jumps to his aid.

Pete Kauffman's life has drastically changed since the death of the only woman he was willing to change it for. He is currently doing business on the up-and-up, getting ready to sell the artifact collection he considers to be strongly tied to her. He is sure the night of the auction is too emotionally charged for him because he swears he sees the ghost of a dead woman posing as a waitress and the driver of his limo. Before he can question the woman, Pete is attacked and drugged, which induces the beautiful hallucination of the woman he so tragically lost all those years ago.

STOLEN HEAT is a very well-written romantic suspense with excitement and intrigue on every page. I fell in love with the characters and their witty personalities. A great read!
