Romance Historical

So it's a battle between a hard edged one time bounty hunter turned rancher and citified refined beauty. But the outside package doesn't do justice to the real goods in either case. Josh Grady has lived a hard demanding life as a well known and respected bounty hunter. But while his reputation has rewarded him with enough money to invest as a partner in a ranch -- it has also earned him life-long enemies. He turned his back on his past when he decided to devote his life to the Rocking R Ranch. Emmie Ryan's life has been divided between winters with her mother in Philadelphia and summers with her father Hank at Rocking R. Her mother's memory of a Comanche raid on neighboring ranches made her fearful for her life and that of her daughter. And so Hank had no choice but to send them off to live in the city but not without some demands of his own. Summer's with Emmie at the ranch was one but upon his demise his will held some additional demands. So in accordance with the terms of the will Emmie is leaving her Philadelphia life behind to begin living full time in the west. Josh isn't sure what to expect when Emmie arrives but he isn't prepared for this amazing young lady who can ride and shoot with the best of them. He also isn't prepared for the chemistry between them. Admiration quickly turns to sexual attraction and who knows where that will lead. Emmie is prepared to work the ranch but the one thing she isn't prepared for is having a partner and in particular Josh Grady. He is a rather new addition to the Rocking R and predictably she is rather shocked to learn that her father had taken on a partner and not informed her. Just when life at the ranch seems to be working out their pasts catch up. Emmie in the form of a beau she eagerly left behind out east and for Josh an escaped convict out for revenge. Trouble is brewing at the Rocking R.

WANTED! THE TEXAS is a fast moving tale dealing with two quite different cultures. Bobbi Smith quickly establishes the rough and demanding life style in the west during the 1800's. By comparison living in Philadelphia at that time was more involved with societal expectations. As people moved west they had no choice but to adapt to the rigor of a lifestyle that put great distance between neighbors. But as this story unfolds it becomes apparent that not everyone can adapt or accept the differences.

SUMMARY

WANTED
He’s the uncivilized side of the law, the kind of man who lives by his own code of Western justice. Relentless, untamed, and honorable to a fault. The kind of man any woman would forget all the rules to love.

JOSH GRADY
Even the most successful bounty hunter has to settle down sometime, so when a run-in with a pair of killers leaves him wounded, Josh decides to make a fresh start at the Rocking R Ranch. Compared to his last job, wrangling cattle and repairing fences seem downright relaxing. But that’s before he meets the boss’s daughter from back East. Emmie Ryan’s highfalutin manners make him testier than a rattlesnake, but he’s convinced that her oh-so-proper exterior conceals the wild nature of a true Texan. All Josh needs to do is help her to forget that she’s a lady…and remember that she’s a woman.
