Cameron McBride is going for his second consecutive NASCAR Sprint cup. Racecar driving requires intense focus and concentrations. He doesn't need any distractions. But after a freak accident, he crosses paths with Caitlin Lawrence, the very woman who left him standing at the altar before 400 family and friends several years before.
Caitlin is at the emergency room for her son who jumped off a piece of furniture, like any other red-blooded four-year-old. She never thought she'd run into Cameron...or be forced to introduce him to his son.
When Cameron gets a look at little Cameron, the child's paternity is clear to him. She not only ditched him on their wedding day but she also hid their child? All Cameron wants now is his son, and that NASCAR cup. But Caitlin and little Cameron are a package deal...if he can convince her to give their relationship another chance.
Francis Ray seems to have an endless stream of stories about the Grayson clan and their friends, and for that I am thankful. Neither she nor this intriguing yet loving cast of characters disappoints. NOBODY BUT YOU, the latest in the Grayson Friends series, takes the hood off the NASCAR circuit, both educating and entertaining the reader. This book inspired me in my own writing because, as I read, I was struck that Ms. Ray's romances always take the high road. By that I mean, when given choices, her charactersβfar from perfectβconduct themselves in a positive, uplifting way. Oh, they make mistakes and bad decisions, for sure. The characters are real and three-dimensional, with real problems. Still, I always walk away from a Francis Ray novel feeling elated. NOBODY BUT YOU is a wonderful read.
