Nina Blackman's first day on the job at the dentist's
office ends up being a bit more than she bargained for when
she's bitten by her first patient of the day. When she
awakens a day and a half later with fangs and an
unattractive longing to dine on the neighbor's Chihuahua,
she phones her best friend in a panic. Marty would know
what to do in this type of crisis having been turned into a
werewolf a few months ago.
With her friends Marty and Wanda rallying around, Nina
tries to develop a plan to find a way to return to being
mortal. The women track down Greg Statleon, the vampire who
bit Nina after having a bad reaction to the anesthetic, and
he assures her that there's no cure for vampirism. The sexy
vampire is more than willing to help Nina with the
transition to immortal. In typical Nina fashion, she
refuses Greg's assistance, instead deciding to rely on
Wanda's romance novels to hopefully find a cure. When the
novels give Nina no hope, she reluctantly turns to Greg,
only to discover there's more to the sexy vampire than she
first realized. Nina must give up her distaste for all
things vampire and embrace the new lifestyle in time to
save not only herself, but Greg.
Dakota Cassidy's ACCIDENTALLY DEAD is a laugh-out-
loud follow-up to ACCIDENTAL WEREWOLF and it's a winner.
Nina is a brassy, ballsy, potty-mouthed, take-no-prisoners
heroine with a vulnerable side she likes to keep hidden.
Greg is the perfect foil for this reluctant vampire, and
everyone should have friends like Wanda and Marty, who are
there no matter what and willing to put up with anything to
help out a friend. Ms. Cassidy is an up-and-comer in the
world of paranormal romance, and I can't wait to find out
what she has in store for Wanda.
It’s a lousy first day on the job
for Nina Blackman when a patient, loopy from the
anesthesia, bites her. At least he was cute. But for real
drama she can’t beat the next evening. Nina wakes up with
a set of razor-sharp fangs, bionic vision, supersonic
hearing, and a taste for blood. But there’s a good
explanation: It’s her patient, Long Island vampire Greg
Statleon. Actually they’re perfect for each other—if
Nina’s willing to commit to one man for eternity.
