Joanna had closed her heart to Tyler because she couldn't
let go of the aching pain she felt when she thought of her
dead husband and son. When they were ripped from her life
by her sister's abusive boyfriend, the fear of loss and

discovered her books while in prison. An earthquake allowed
him the chance to track Jo down and let her know how much
he loves her.
This is the second in Brennan's Prison Break series (the
first was KILLING FEAR). While she's a solid writer -- and
you certainly feel the pain of Jo's losses -- the book was a
little too contrived and unimaginative for me. Escaped con,
massive snowstorm that traps everyone within his reach,
etc., just left me feeling as if I was reading a story I'd
read before.
Romance writer Joanna Sutton returned home to the secluded
Centennial Valley in Montana to heal after the murder of
her husband and son. Now, four years later, she is trapped
with a killer in snow storm.
