Romance | Historical

Eve Faraday suffered from being too sensible, practical, intelligent and in her own words rather brown. As a slightly built young woman she saw herself as someone who escapes notice. Until a ravishingly handsome, virile gentlemen cuts a path through the partygoers straight to Eve -- much to her amazement. Aubrey Ashford certainly had tongues wagging and women vying for his attention but for some reason he only had eyes for Eve. Practical -- sensible Eve worked hard to avoid the temptation of being swept away by a man surely conjured up by her dreams but Aubrey was boldly staking his claim and at every chance once again proposed marriage. Well what's a girl to do -- say yes of course. But Eve couldn't rid herself of some lingering doubts about why someone so grand would choose someone so brown. Was she being paranoid or was there perhaps something sinister that Aubrey was hiding. Eve's mission was to get to the bottom of it no matter the consequences -- even if the truth broke her heart.

Falling in love should feel like enchantment and Edith Layton's love story of Eve and Aubrey has you believing that true love can beat all odds. The question is who is enchanted by who in this fantasy romance -- the winsome lovely lady or the extraordinarily handsome gentleman. The answer will surprise and delight you as will this lovely book.
