Flynn Daly's family is tired of worrying about her. She's almost 30 years old and they think it's time for her to settle down, join the family business (managing real estate deals) and become an adult. She's not interested until she hears her father's health is suffering; it may be time to quit trying to find her own way through a variety of careers.
Flynn's first "opportunity" is managing a historic inn that was owned by her great aunt. She's supposed to keep it together until they can sell the inn. But Flynn immediately becomes involved with the hotel staff, not to mention Jake Turner who's sexy and annoying. Jake doesn't think Flynn's aunt died naturally and as an ex-policeman, he should know!
Flynn's not sure she can adapt to the real estate magnate lifestyle -- she feels guilty that she can't tell the staff that her father plans to sell. Then she starts seeing her great-aunt's ghost and well, life is weird. Maybe she's not cut out for an adult career...
Flynn is an intriguing character; it's fun to watch her tackle her new lifestyle when her heart really isn't in it. Some people aren't cut out for big business -- can Flynn come to peace with that part of herself? Jake's hiding out from himself, too, and maybe they can find their way together. You'll be rooting for them and all the secondary characters in this book -- including the ghost! A fun way to spend an afternoon.
