Feenie Malone lived a comfortable life married to a lawyer, keeping herself busy with charity projects, until she discovered her husband was having an affair. Two years later, Feenie works as a cub reporter, barely making ends meet. When she learns her ex-husband withheld joint property, a boat, in the divorce settlement, she wants her share. Under the cover of night, Feenie goes to her husband's home to get proof that he still has the boat, but someone knocks her down and throws her in the water. But more importantly, she needs to know whether Juarez has been using her to further his investigation or if he might feel something for her.
