Romance Suspense

FEAR NO EVIL is the third and final book in Allison Brennan's Evil Trilogy. It is breath taking, mind blowing, suspense like you've never read before. Lucy Kincaid is set to graduate high school but is nowhere to be found at her graduation. She went to meet a boy she met on the internet, but no one has heard from her since. Lucy's family becomes frantic worrying about what could have happened to her. Was the boy she met a fellow Georgetown student, or was he lying about who he is? Kate Donovan, former FBI agent, has been tracking a serial killer/rapist named Trask for years. He runs a pornography site on the internet. For $25,000 people can log on and watch Trask or one of his friends rape a woman and then vote on how they will kill her. There's a disclaimer on the screen, saying that everyone is an actor and no one is actually being hurt, but this is untrue. Trask is raping and murdering women live on the internet for everyone to watch. Kate Donovan had found Trask before and was so close to ending his murdering spree but the take down went terribly wrong. Kate's fellow partner Paige ended up being kidnapped and murdered by Trask. When Kate's boyfriend Evan tried to help, he ended up killed too. The FBI is suspicious of Kate and wants to question her about these deaths. Until she can find Trask and take him down for all of these senseless murders, she will not return to the FBI. Kate has been on the run hiding out in a cabin, tracking Trask's every movement online. When Kate comes across info she forwards it to her friend in the FBI Quincy Peterson. Kate receives a link to see the latest victim, from Trask himself. When she clicks on it she sees a girl introduced as Lucy, tied to a chair. After forwarding this to Quincy, it quickly becomes discovered that this is the Kincaid's Lucy and she is in great danger. Lucy's brothers rush to help find her before it is too late. There's a countdown timer on the screen, counting down to Lucy's murder. Without any leads and without knowing Trask's true identity, how will the Kincaids ever find Lucy in time? As the timer counts down, Lucy's family must all work together to find her before she is murdered live on the internet. FEAR NO EVIL was the most suspenseful, thrilling, bone chilling, serial killer mystery that I've ever read. Every last page of this book was perfection. Allison Brennan knows how to write like no other writer in the business. The villains are pure evil and so real that you will feel yourself looking over your shoulder. I became so absorbed in this story that I couldn't think about anything else until I was done reading it. Look for the first two books in this trilogy, Speak No Evil and See No Evil.

SUMMARY

Instead of preparing for her high school graduation, Lucy Kincaid is facing a vicious execution. Lured by an online predator, she’s destined to die horribly–live on the Internet–while hundreds of heartless viewers watch and vote on the method of her slaughter. Her family’s only hope rests with Kate Donovan, an FBI agent who took on the same sadistic killer once before . . . and lost. Blamed for another girl’s gruesome murder, Kate’s been fighting to clear her name. But she agrees to join the hunt for Lucy– and reluctantly steps back into her worst nightmare. With time running out before the bloody webcast airs, Kate teams up with forensic psychiatrist Dillon Kincaid to get inside the head of her twisted quarry, zero in on his chamber of horrors, and reach Lucy before grim history repeats itself and another innocent’s brutal death goes hideously live.
