Her first interviewee for the job -- whom she calmly asks
to
drop his pants -- is truly stunning, in every way. But he's
a bit cocky and since there's such a strong attraction
between them, Frankie would rather hire anyone else. She
made a huge past mistake in mixing business with pleasure
and she's not going to do so again.
But a few interviews later, she admits that Reese has the
charisma to make her magazine successful and that means
burying her feelings for him. What she doesn't know is that
she's inviting the enemy into the den, because Reese is an
undercover cop.
This is a fun erotica book playing on that classic
attraction between the Mafia Don's princess daughter and
the cop coming in to bring him down. (In this case,
Frankie's father was just murdered, so it's about
infiltrating the mob in general.) A slow beginning with
awkward dialogue and what felt like forced sexual tension
dissipated quickly into a story that I stayed up reading
until 1 a.m. I couldn't figure out whodunit and so I
couldn't put it down. I've said it before and it's worth
repeating -- hot sex with a plot is worth your time. Enjoy!
