Mystery Police Procedural

When sports magnate Lorenzo Curti is found dead, police inspector Aurelio Zen is brought to Bologna, Italy, to assist the other detectives in solving the crime. While the investigation is going on, there is a local cooking show where the star chef is insecure about his talents. There's also a private investigator who has his eye on everything, including many football players and students. Now tie it all together and try to figure out who killed Mr. Curti.

BACK TO BOLOGNA, an Aurelio Zen mystery, is a well-plotted whodunit. I did have a hard time getting started with the story, but once I was well on my way, it was hard to put down. The ending was quite a shocker.
