On September 6th, in the year 1620, when King James the
First ruled Britain, a sailing ship called the Mayflower,
carrying 102 passengers and approximately thirty crew
members, left Plymouth, England. All of the passengers were
called Pilgrims. Some traveled to find religious freedom;
all were looking for a better life.
PILGRIM GIRL is the story of 12 year old Constance Godwin
who, along with her family, was a passenger on the
Mayflower. Read the diary of her first year in the New
