Re: In Search of Scandal
I'm trying to think of the exact term that would be used for my type of hero. He's the type that doesn't clamor for attention. He just did what was needed, and continued on with his life. Sometimes he bears his scars, needing the soft touch of a woman, to help him get over the horrors of what he's been through. It's the flashy hero I can really do without. Your latest book sounds wonderful, and I'm looking forward to reading it. I've put it on my TBR list already. The cover is absolutely stunning, and I'm sure it will do quite well!! I hope you have a very Merry Christmas, and wish you all the best in the upcoming New Year!! (Peggy Roberson 6:43am December 2, 2015)
My favorite kind of heroes in books are the ones who come through and help out without wantjng their actions to be noticed! (Linda Herold 9:09am December 2, 2015)
Rogue (Marissa Yip-Young 10:30am December 2, 2015)
My hero would be a man that would go through hell and high waters ( if need be ) to protect me or his children and treat me like a woman . You know , like a foot massage ever once in awhile . That would be wonderful !!! Of course I suppose the little wife could do the same for her man . I wouldn't like a hero that bragged ,unless it was about his wife LOL (Joan Thrasher 11:24am December 2, 2015)
My favorite hero is one with principles, strength of character, depth and integrity. (Sharon Berger 11:55am December 2, 2015)
My fav hero... one that opens himself to love. (Colleen Conklin 11:55am December 2, 2015)
My favorite hero is someone who is strong, loving and caring! (Susan Patterson 12:01pm December 2, 2015)
A competent one. (Krypton I 12:07pm December 2, 2015)
A strong man who rights wrongs, not arrogant but confident in his abilities yet somehow mistified by women but looking for love or maybe finding love as a complete surprise to himself. (Sandra Stipins 1:12pm December 2, 2015)
My answer will be coming from a different perspective, given that I am a heterosexual male and I love reading romance novels.
The best heroes to me are men who are strong, but not arrogant. He shows physical strength when he needs to, but is sensitive to the needs of those around him and is caring, understanding, and aware of the thoughts, feelings, and concerns of the woman he falls in love with. Not every book has this type of character. (Edward Washington 2:13pm December 2, 2015)
I'd say men who can lead and who are strong with a mind of their own.. A manly man!!! (Bonnie Capuano 3:52pm December 2, 2015)
my favorite hero is the one who has been traumatized by the events in his life, yet doesn't show it to the outside world. Its not until a woman comes along and helps him to heal and become a better man. (Catherine White 10:10pm December 2, 2015)
I love a wounded hero, who is also honorable, brave, intelligent, and kind (even though he may hide it). (Janie McGaugh 10:53pm December 2, 2015)
My favorite type of hero is one that sticks it out when things look back and rescues those who need help. (Melinda Marks 9:59am December 3, 2015)
I like a good hero but one with flaws. Not perfect. (Pam Howell 11:29am December 3, 2015)
favorite hero is one that loves unconditionally (Mj Chesick 12:45pm December 4, 2015)
I like a hero that is smart and brave, but also is kind and has a good sense of humor. (Diane Sallans 3:49pm December 4, 2015)
I like a strong, brave but kind hero and thanks for contests (Gloria Vigil 11:08pm December 4, 2015)
