Mystery Cozy
Carly Bell Hartwell’s love potions are always in demand in Hitching Post, Alabama, the wedding capital of the South.… When Katie Sue Perrywinkle walks into the Little Shop of Potions, Carly is surprised and delighted to see her old childhood friend. Katie Sue fled her hometown and a troubled family over a decade ago. But she’s not back for a social visit. She’s come to settle a score with Senator Warren Calhoun, who is in town for his son’s high-profile wedding. But before Katie Sue has a chance to voice any objections, she’s forced to forever hold her peace. After finding her friend dead, Carly vows to find her murderer. Were the corrupt Calhouns willing to go to any lengths to avoid a scandal? Did Katie Sue’s family take the term “bad blood” to a whole new level? And why did the bride-to-be come to Carly for a love potion? As Carly gets closer to the truth, a killer is planning a very chilly reception.…

Wow....serendipity. Looking forward to this one and wish I had that original book. (Deanna Stillings 2:30pm October 7, 2014)
It was, Deanna. The book is cool (in case FF doesn't update this post, the pic is on my FB page for all to see). (Heather Blake 2:40pm October 7, 2014)
Wow! What a great story. And how lucky we all are that you found that book! (Janet Morrissey 8:55pm October 7, 2014)
Thank you, Janet! The remedies are so fascinating. (Heather Blake 6:22am October 8, 2014)
Let me start out by saying that the cover of your book is really wonderful, and I have your book on my TBR list already!! Where I live, there are a few stores that have items which are a bit dated, and I always tend to gravitate towards them. You can't beat those items, because you never know what you'll find inside one of those beauties!! My Husband and I don't really travel anymore, but we do have a couple of spots that we love to stop at if we're in that direction while out on the road. There is a roadside area that you can stop at to have a picnic, watch the sailboats and tankers go by on the major Great Lake, or go down a series of steps, right onto a small stretch of rocky beach, to get pelted by some pretty powerful waves, and perhaps find a few rocks and shells. It's very scenic, and a lot of people love to come here to take photographs!! Because where we live, we're in the middle of a tourist area / farmland section, we have the best of both worlds year- round, and we love it that way. Depending on our mood, we can either stay holed-up in our hideaway, or be out in the hustle and bustle of the tourists by the Lake!! (Peggy Roberson 8:15am October 8, 2014)
