I picked this book up to read a couple of chapter before I went to bed. At 3:00 a.m. I finished and I didn’t see ending coming. I loved the way that Ms. Rose tied everything together. I don’t want to give anything away but it would not have hurt my feelings if a certain father had suffered just a little more or if Lucy could have just slapped into next week. Karen Rose’s latest thriller, You Belong To Me, is excitingly dangerous and full of betrayal, secrets and lies involving Baltimore Medical Examiner, Lucy Trask and Hunky Homicide Detective J.D. Fitzpatrick. Trask is thrown into multiple murders that are too close to home while J.D works to keep Lucy from becoming the next victim.
From the first page Karen Rose transports the reader to wherever she wants us to go with complicated and fresh characters such as Trask and Fitzpatrick to keep the interest high and guessing throughout the entire book to figure out the ending. The most shocking and sad part is finding out this story is based on a real event on the US West Coast not too long ago.
