Romance Paranormal | Fantasy
Rafferty Powell has exchanged challenge coins with his arch-
nemesis Magnus Montmorency, and their next battle will be
their last. But Rafferty never expected to meet a woman
whose desire for Magnus’ downfall matches his own — and
whose presence sparks Rafferty’s long-awaited firestorm. Since facing her own mortality, investigative reporter
Melissa Smith has resolved to live without fear. She’s
determined to make the seemingly untouchable Magnus pay for
his role in ending her friend’s life – no matter the price
to herself. When her quest entwines with Rafferty’s, Melissa finds
herself risking more than she ever thought possible.
Because the heat between them unleashes the darkfire — an
awesome force of Pyr legend, one that won’t be sated until
everything they know has been tested and remade.

Re: Darkfire Kiss
I can hardly wait, both for Darkfire Kiss and Winging it :-} I am a huge fan of Zoë, and was already hooked by the Pyr books from book 1. (Diana Troldahl 7:52am June 9, 2011)
Great article Deb and I know the new series will be flying off the shelves.

It takes quite an imagination to have so many twists and turns in a storyline!! I have to say that I'm new to this genre, but after reading your blog, I'm very anxious to read this book!! I suppose that means I'm going to have to backtrack a bit and find out how things really started, but I really want to read the story. It's so different from the everyday paranormal books that you see out there. Congratulations on your new series!! (Peggy Roberson 11:41am June 9, 2011)
It all sounds very exciting. I've also always enjoyed dragon stories and I'm sure I am going to like Zoe's being a paranormal romance. (Jeanne Sheats 2:33pm June 9, 2011)
Hey! Just because I'm in my fifties doesn't mean I don't read YA books!! And Zoë's story sounds just like something I'd like to read!

Since I enjoyed your Dragon series I don't see why I wouldn't enjoy one geared for YA too! (Diane Sadler 3:44pm June 9, 2011)
I love the Dragonfire series and I'm looking forward to to Zoe's spinoff. (Jill Merriott 5:20pm June 9, 2011)
I've been lagging behind in reading the Dragonfire series. So I'll try to catch up soon. And I'll certainly be looking into Zoe's story as well. (Sigrun Schulz 9:59pm June 9, 2011)
When I like a story, I want to see more so spin-offs in a series are good. I also like it to be a stand-alone if possible or to give a few lines in the beginning so I can catch up to speed with who belongs to whom and what's their line and angle in the story. (Alyson Widen 6:53pm June 14, 2011)
