In a hidden corner of rural Florida, there’s a place where gleaming horses graze on green pastures and majestic live oaks stretch their tangled branches over an old white cottage. A place where friends gather, children play, and riding skills are honed. This is Briar Hill Farm.
Amanda “The Hunter Princess” Wakefield is tired of the teasing. Tired of being alone. And tired, most of all, of being labeled a one‑trick pony. Turns out being beautiful, talented, and divorced is simply not as much fun as a person would think. Is joining the cast of an equestrian reality show the best way to change her life? Probably not, but it’s worth a shot. And she’s not the only one in her circle who is questioning all her life choices.
At Orlando’s Seabreeze Equestrian Center, Grace is welcoming a camera crew and a bunch of strangers to film some silly reality show she’ll never watch. It’s also a test: what would her life feel like, if she retired from the horse business? Up the road in Ocala, Alex is looking at her vast Thoroughbred empire and wondering if she’s falling out of love with horse racing. A few chilly miles north of there, Jules is fiddling with surrendering some of her competitive edge for a better connection with her horses. But surely, she can have it all, right?
As cameras roll on the Riding Masters Challenge, everyone will get sucked into the competition. Everyone’s ripe for a little life‑changing action. But the one with the most to lose—and win—is Amanda.
The Briar Hill Series expands the already beloved universe of Natalie Keller Reinert’s popular Eventing series. This is a saga filled with friendship, love, and ‑ of course ‑ horses.
