Romance Historical

What happens when a lady of sunshine ties the grumpiest duke in Mayfair to a chair? Love, chaos, and an indecent amount of paint.

Lady Honoria Harrington has a mission: fulfill her father’s dying wish by painting a portrait worthy of London’s finest gallery. One problem—her chosen subject is the Duke of Kolbridge, a man with a permanent scowl, an iron will, and no time for giggling sisters or scandal-courting artists.

Dermont has mastered duty, order, and control. What he has not mastered? The relentless chaos of eight meddling sisters, a runaway ferret, and the infuriatingly cheerful woman who barges into his study demanding a favor. Honoria’s curves tempt him. Her laughter unravels him. And when she storms his world with ropes, paintbrushes, and entirely too much sunshine, the grumpy duke finds himself in very real danger…of falling in love.

But danger of another kind lurks—scheming suitors, reckless kidnappers, and society’s disapproving eye. To protect his sister and guard his heart, Dermont must decide: will he cling to his rules, or surrender to the woman who paints happiness across every shadow of his life?
