Rosemary Harris was born in Brooklyn, New York, and now
splits her time between Manhattan’s East Side and Fairfield
County, Connecticut. After several careers in book
retailing (Waldenbooks), direct marketing (Crown
Publishers, American Express), and television (Disney/ABC
Video, WNET, New York’s public television station), she
read a small item in the New York Times about a mummified
body piqued her interest. Subsequent research led her to a
new passion – writing – and her research led to her first
book, the Agatha and Anthony–nominated Pushing Up Daisies
featuring amateur sleuth Paula Holliday.(2008) Subsequent
books in the series are The Big Dirt Nap, Deadhead and
Slugfest (Minotaur Books.
Her latest book is a standalone novel, The Bitches of
Brooklyn. It's the story of four friends awaiting the
arrival of a fifth at a Cape Cod bungalow. But the fifth
woman doesn't show – instead she sends a note telling them
she's run off with one of their men.
Do they believe it? Is it a joke? Who pretends not to care
and who does the snooping?
If you liked Paula, Babe and Lucy from the Dirty Business
series, I think you'll like Rachel, Clare, Tina and Jane,
the fun, feisty Bitches of Brooklyn. An Amazon download
$1.99.
Rosemary is past president of MWA/NY and SINC New England,
a member of Romance Writers of America, Women's Fiction
Writers Association and CAPA (Connecticut Authors and
Publishers Association.)
