Bonnie--sounds like heaven ;o)
Re: Three Days on Mimosa Lane (10:35am August 15, 2013):
Sharon--my husband's the one who first suggested I follow my lifelong dream to be a published fiction writer. I was needing to make a career change, so I could be home to help my son get through school (we knew it was going to take some hands-on intervention to make sure our public school system accommodated his needs). And my husband insisted that if I was going to leave corporate/technical writing behind and freelance...why not do what would feed my soul while I was at it. That's been a watershed moment ever since. No matter the difficulties we've faced since or the ups and downs of the publishing industry, I can always look back and know that he completely understood me in that moment...and remember him telling me to go for my dreams!

Peggy--when we pay it forward, we receive ten-fold. Know that and keep creating and showering those you know/love/meet with the caring that comes from deep inside you. Your story is so inspiring! Thnx for sharing it.

Ellie--the ones who help us be the best parents (and people/writers/artists) we can be are true heroes. I never could have made it this far in my career, without the help of my husband, my friends, my publishing partners and my readers/fans. I'm truly a VERY lucky girl!

Melanie, the more I parent and learn how hard this job/calling is (trying to help my now-teenager find his way through the world and discover and live his true, authentic life), the mor e I appreciate all the hard work my own parents put into raising and then setting me free. I sometimes can't believe what I put them through ;o)
Re: Christmas On Mimosa Lane (8:33am November 8, 2012):
All your stories are wonderful, ladies! I'm writing Book 2 for the Seasons of the Heart series (Sweet Summer Sunrise), curled up in front of a fireplace at the beach!
Cheers!
Re: The Firefighter's Secret Baby (12:22pm April 16, 2010):
I feel the same way about heroes. Most of my "Atlanta Heroes" guys have been more everyday Joes.
Here's the dedication for TFSB, to give you an idea of what I mean--
"To those who stand and fight. To those who run toward danger, so others may be free. To those who put all they are on the line. To heroes."
Sigh...
Re: The Firefighter's Secret Baby (8:57am April 16, 2010):
Hey everyone!
Hope you're having a great spring morning, and that you find a hero to hug in your life today ;o)
Looking forward to chatting with everyone...

Re: Dark Legacy (4:37pm November 18, 2009):
Karin--dream theory has been a passion of mine for a long time, because of my experiences as a child of dreams blending with reality. I think as adults we lose touch with the more quiet work our brains do. And the visions that reflect back what's most important to us.
But if we can be still and sensitive to the magic going on around and inside us, I think those voices are still there. Call them intuition or hunches or "just a feeling," but we're still dreaming every day in tangible ways that touch our lives
Re: Dark Legacy (4:33pm November 18, 2009):
Thanks so much Alyson and Diana, and everone else for the wonderful support.
I LOVED Dark Legacy, for the uniqueness of the story and all the wonderful surprises that came as I wrote it. It's a thrill to hear readers respond so positively--especially my Harlequin followers who have embraced the more mainstream parts of DL.
You're all wonderful, and are a huge part of the positive energy that gets channeled back into my story telling ;o)
Re: Dark Legacy (4:17pm November 18, 2009):
Jackie--I'm writing the twin's spooky and gothic HEA even as I type this ;o) Of course, there are other families with legacies swirling around my brain... The Legacy series will hopefully have a lovely, fruitful life, LOL!
Re: Dark Legacy (4:15pm November 18, 2009):
Sean, I find that a writer has to make time for writing, if publishing is a dream you're determined to make come true. At some point, a published author's passion becomes a business, and the two halves can be a challenge to juggle.
But it's a wonderful life. Tell your wife to keep writing!!! And tell her good luck for me ;o)
Re: Dark Legacy (11:44am November 18, 2009):
Whew! I finally got myself logged in. So THAT's why I wasn't seeing a place to comment ;o) See what sticking your nose in a book all day will do to your ability to reason!
Thanks for the great comments. Especially the thoughts on gifts and fufilling them. I hope today's post inspires everyone to share their creativity with their world today!
