IN A BADGER WAY is the second installment to the Honey Badgers Chronicles by Shelly Laurenston. With this latest book, she throws away an expectation and really has a free-for-all with her characters.
The lively, often aggressive honey badgers are back in full force and Laurenston definitely delivers on the adventure. With mayhem and chaos following them around, readers are guaranteed to enjoy this book.
What was most interesting about this book is that Laurenston uses lots of different points of view to tell this story. But she also uses secondary characters and characters that you wouldn't often see a point of view from normally to explain the events. It was a refreshing take and definitely opened my eyes to a lot more possibilities. It also portrayed the honey badgers in a different, more extreme light.
I always look forward to Shelly Laurenston's stories. Not only are they hilarious and over the top, but they are a great source of entertainment for any time of the year.
IN A BADGER WAY is a certified good read and will lift your spirits as well as your hearts.
Petite, kind, brilliant, and young, Stevie is nothing
like the usual women bodyguard Shen Li is interested in.
Even more surprising, the youngest of the lethal, ball-
busting, and beautiful MacKilligan sisters is terrified
of bears. But sheβs not terrified of pandas. She loves
pandas.
Which means that whether Shen wants her to or not, she
simply wonβt stop cuddling him. He isnβt some stuffed
Giant Panda, ya know! He is a Giant Panda shifter. He
deserves respect and personal space. Something that
little hybrid is completely ignoring.
But Stevie has a way of finding trouble. Like going
undercover to take down a scientist experimenting on
other shifters. For what, Shen doesnβt want to know, but
theyβd better find out. And fast. Stevie might be the
least violent of the honey badger sisters, but sheβs the
most dangerous to Shenβs peace of mind. Because she has
absolutely no idea how much trouble theyβre inβ¦or just
how damn adorable she is.
