Romance Erotica Sensual | Romance Contemporary

ENTICING EMMA is Book 2 in the "Summersville Secrets" by N.J. Walters. Tucker Martin is focused entirely on making one woman his -- Emma Howard. Tucker's single-minded obsession, and the lengths to which he goes to get Emma, would seem a little creepy if Emma didn't return his interest and didn't need a nudge to get past her own issues. This is a story about a woman trying to figure out what kind of romantic relationship she wants, and work through her feelings and heal from childhood hurts.

When the story opens, Emma and Tucker are not strangers and are turning up the heat on a third date before Emma puts the breaks on. It's crucial for me that Tucker entices, ardently pursues, and persuades, but respects Emma's pace as he pushes her boundaries. ENTICING EMMA is a very sensual romance and the reader will be seduced just as Emma is. Emma's behavior would be very difficult to understand if ENTICING EMMA was told without alternating perspectives. N.J. Walters does a great job of slowing explaining Emma's family history and why that has made her hesitant to form a lasting romantic attachment. I like how Emma's friends help put a new perspective on Tucker, and offer her emotional support. The interludes with Emma's friends also provide a bit of humor in the midst of so much intensity.

ENTICING EMMA will have you experiencing a heat wave. Emma is a character that starts out a bit indecisive and unsure of herself, but by the end she is a woman who has put her demons to rest and owns her sexuality. I look forward to reading the next book in N.J. Walters' "Summersville Secrets" series.

SUMMARY

The second book in the sexy Summersville Secrets series by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author N. J. Walters!

Damaged by betrayal . . .

Emma Howard learned the hard way that charming, good-looking men can’t be trusted, and she’s perfected the art of keeping her distance—until Tucker Martin moves into her apartment building. Their immediate physical attraction to one another is explosive, and she welcomes the opportunity to explore her newly awakened sexuality. But after a heated night of passion, Emma pulls away, unwilling to believe that a man who has everything she wants will want to stick around.

Driven by desire . . .

Tucker has wanted Emma since the first moment he laid eyes on her, and his need only grows more intense after they spend one amazing night together—until Emma goes from insatiable to unreachable. Bewildered but not broken, he’s determined to prove to her that he’s as sincere as he is sexy. And as Tucker patiently sets out to win the woman of his dreams, he knows Emma will have to face her past before they can indulge in the pleasures of a deeply loving future.

This is a fully revised edition of a book originally published as Heat Wave.
