Romance Contemporary

Robyn Carr has written a series based in Thunder Point that resonates with heart-warming tales of unerring searches for love. WILDEST DREAMS is number nine in the series. Here is a series that is just too good to miss but if you haven't imbibed WILDEST DREAMS will definitely have you ready for more. Robyn Carr has drummed up some totally intriguing characters from her vivid imagination. Each one of the Thunder Point books leaves you with that feeling good sense that comes from a great experience. Of course, I have my favorites in this series -- any Carr fan will admit to that. But I eagerly await the publishing of each book and admittedly read them again and again. In WILDEST DREAMS we are once again reunited with friends from older books but the story is richly rewarding on its own. Welcome to Thunder Point and WILDEST DREAMS, where Robyn Carr makes us believe anything is possible when it comes to love.

Have you ever met a kid that gets under your skin in a good way? Well that's Charlie Simmons. He is so bright, engaging and intuitively good natured. Oh, and very well behaved and polite. He has to be -- his mother is a force to reckon with. Blake Smiley was new to the neighborhood, a triathlon champion who was attracted to Thunder Point because it would give him the space and peace he needed, and perhaps a place to call home after so many years. Blake never expected to find himself in good company.

His neighbor was a retired figure skater who now faced great health challenges with ALS. Winnie Banks was in Thunder Point for an opportunity to be closer to her daughter Izzy. Their relationship had been strained but Winnie was hoping against hope that there was still time. With the help of an old friend and Lin Su, who was proving to be a godsend, Winnie was making headway. Lin Su and her son Charlie were becoming very important to Winnie and her family and friends. And Blake was intrigued by this bright young man.

Athletes know about challenges. Blake realizes that Charley has many. But as they get closer Blake is determined to break that shell around Charley. In order to do that Blake would be challenging Charley's mother Lin Su, who was equally determined to protect her son. Two very determined souls butting heads for the better good -- in this case, a bright, wonderful boy. Robyn Carr captures our heart and soul with this totally enthralling story about facing down demons, challenges, and learning to accept help.

WILDEST DREAMS has too many players to mention, but believe me they are all equally amazing. WILDEST DREAMS has a cast of characters that keep you laughing and turning pages for more. Robyn Carr's Thunder Point just got even better, if that is even possible.

SUMMARY

WILDEST DREAMS is the story of Lin Su Simmons, a home health care nurse who was separated from her natural Vietnamese family as a child refugee, and later as a pregnant teenager, abandoned by her adopted American family. When she meets professional triathlete Blake Smiley, she isn't ready to let her guard down but her 14-year old son, Charlie, doesn't have her same reservations.

What Lin Su doesn't realize is that turning her back on love and friendship now might cost her more than just a better future—it might also close the door on a past with which she’s never been able to reconcile.
