Monica McCarty has written a battle of the sexes in which
the contenders have only one thing to lose—the love of a
lifetime. In THE ARROW, Cate is a deceptively small and
helpless looking woman, but she has been trained as a
warrior and knows how to protect herself. Gregor is the
hunky hero who is always trying to save someone else. Will
they ever stop sparring long enough to fall in love?
Cate lost her family many years ago: her father walked out
of her life, and her mother and unborn sibling were
murdered in front of her. But she's grown up now and
determined to have a new family. She has the children;
various foundlings that have come her way and she knows
she wants for a husband. Gregor MacGregor is the man who
rescued her when she was fifteen and took her as his ward.
Now Cate believes it is her turn to rescue him from his
lonely life. . .
Gregor is one of the elite Highland Guards who surround
Robert Bruce. He is honor bound to support Bruce in his
quest to reclaim the Scottish castles from the English.
he has battle fatigue and is going home for a little

indomitable, no men are more loyal to their king, or
cherished by the women they love.
The talents of legendary marksman Gregor “Arrow” MacGregor
are crucial now, as Bruce moves to reclaim his Scottish
holdings. Gregor is considered the most handsome man in
Scotland, and his fame as an archer is rivaled only by his
reputation with the lasses as a heart breaker.
But when his infamous face is exposed during a covert
mission, Gregor is forced to lay low. He returns home only
to find a new battle waiting: a daring game of seduction
involving his now very grown up and very desirable ward,
Cate of Lochmaben.
A born fighter, Cate was clinging to life when Gregor
rescued her after a vicious English raid on her village
her mother dead. But five years later, the once scrappy
orphan Gregor took under his protection has become a
Brave, strong, and skilled in warfare, Cate is determined

But will Gregor allow his heart to surrender before danger
finds them, and the truth of Cate’s identity is revealed?
