Author Felicity Heaton very quickly gets you immersed into this world, without too much confusing back-story, just enough to explain character connection, and away you go. I adored both Sable and Thorne, they were both strongly independent, but before the book is done they stand strong together. In this book you will find human hunters, elves, vampires, witches, dragons and bad guy demons that need to be done away with all rolled into one action packed story.

I will warn readers that this book is long, but it flows well and is hard to put down. Reading this author is a first for me, but it will not be the last. I am very hopeful for another from this world because she left a number of very important happenings (a dragon kidnapped huntress, missing witch, questions on Sable's paternity and a missing Elf prince's brother to name a few) with no conclusion. I would really love to know the answers to all those questions.
