Romance Contemporary

Gorgeous little Grace Andersen has been abandoned at the altar at the Rock' n' Rolla Hotel in Memphis. The owner, Willodean Jackson, is a sprite energetic lady completely in love with everything "Elvis", including all decors in the hotel as well as all music. She is also a great "matchmaker"! Now Grace is penniless and needs to find work to earn enough money to return to Las Vegas.

However, Willodean's strait laced son, Charlie McMinn, is anxious to have Grace gone. His mother takes in all strays and has a heart of gold and is quite rich herself, making her a target. Charlie is an investment and figures man and takes care of his mother's assets even as he worries that she is being taken advantage of by all the strays.

With Christmas near, Charlie is placating his mother by acting as an "Elvis" lookalike complete in a gold lame jacket and pompadour hair, performing weddings in the chapel. Willodean offers Grace a job as event coordinator and gives her a small apartment to enable her to earn her fare home. In spite of his wishes, Charlie immediately feels a staggering connection to Grace which shakes his steady equilibrium. The kicker is, flashy Grace also feels the same connection to the boring but handsome man always in black. As the relationship escalates, Charlie takes a leap of faith to denounce everything he believes in to capture Grace. Having none of this, Grace is terrified of his advancement and Charlie has to find a way to show her he can be patient and step back.

Another installment in the Rock' n' Rolla Hotel is just as entertaining and quirky as the others I previously read. The delightful and snappy characters will keep you smiling and fulfill you with a genuine feeling of love and warmth. I absolutely love this series and especially the character Willodean. I look forward to future installments from this series and do not plan to miss a single one!

SUMMARY

A bride abandoned at the altar . . . just in time for Christmas? 'Tis the season for second chances at Cheryl Harper's Elvis-themed Rock'n'Rolla Hotel.

After trying and failing at acting, modeling, dog grooming, and a dozen other jobs, Grace Andersen thought for sure she'd nail marrying a rich man. But dumped in a hotel chapel and strapped for cash, Grace needs a miracle—and a job.

If it were up to Charlie McMinn, Grace would be a married lady by now. Officiating weddings in gold lamé and a rock star pompadour may not have been his idea of getting into the holiday spirit, but with a gorgeous bride asking for his help, Charlie doesn't mind sticking around his mother's hotel a few more days. Especially if it means getting Grace settled …

Grace isn't sure what to think of sexy, rugged Charlie, except that she can't deny the attraction between them, or how good it feels to finally fit in somewhere. Is she ready to give a certain place—and a certain someone—a real chance? Or will she abandon a true Christmas miracle?
