Reading about Vika's abuse was hard. She endures so much and adding the fact that she is deaf only causes my heart to ache more with hurt. However, as the story progresses, Showalter nicely displays Solo's protectiveness in a way that eases me as a reader, knowing that someone is there to protect her. But what is interesting is that despite Vika being a victim of abuse, she also displays so much strength and desires to protect Solo in return as well.

LAST KISS GOODNIGHT is a searingly sweet romance that shows how a forbidden romance can turn into the one sole reason to live.
