Stacy Graysin has had her shares of encounters with the law, especially since she helped the police apprehend the person who murdered her ex-boyfriend, Rafe. As much as Stacy wants to leave the detective work to the police, she is forced to dust off her sleuthing skills when her dance teacher associate, Maurice Goldberg, is arrested for Corinne's murder. Stacy is confident that she can discover what really happened to Corinne, but when she looks into Corinne's private life and past, she discovers a plethora of possible suspects and a motive which ties them all together.
DEAD MAN WALTZING is pure entertainment. I loved how Ella Barrick took the time to create intricate back stories for each suspect. As the readers sift through the clues along with Stacy, the compelling stories of the suspects will prove more entertaining than you bargained for. Barrick's writing is charming and impressive. The author of Quick Step to Murder is quickly dancing her way to the top of mystery genre. This is a waltz you'll definitely not to sit out.
Bad formโฆ When Corinne Blakely, a grande
dame of international ballroom dancing, is poisoned, the
dance communityโincluding champion dancer Stacy Graysinโis
left in an uproar. Corinne was penning a tell-all memoir,
but now her secrets might well remain hidden, just as the
killer perhaps intended. The victimโs dance card was
full of people who might have wanted her silenced, if not
dead. But when Maurice, a ballroom instructor at Stacyโs
dance studio Graysin Motion, becomes the prime suspect, she
has no choice but to waltz in and take the lead in another
murder investigation. Clearing Mauriceโs name by
finding the real killer is going to be harder than a running
spin turn. But thereโs one thing Stacy knows for sureโsheโs
not about to let the murderer dance away scot-free.
