Meghan Thomas had been a normal 21-year-old when she met Blake Richards, a vampire. After a passionate time together, Blake's hunger takes over and he drains Meghan's blood. So he offered her eternity. Blake will have to live with the guilt for all of eternity.
Now a monster is on a vampire-killing spree. Meghan will have to turn to her sire, Blake, and they will both have to trust their blood bond.
I heard a rumor that Caridad Pineiro was the next Anne Rice. I would have to disagree. I personally think Caridad Pineiro is much better than Anne Rice. With 20 novels published I'd say she is just at the starting gate of her career. FURY CALLS was the first book I've read in The Calling Series. I assure you I'll be back ordering and looking for new releases of this series. Meghan and Blake have such chemistry and such need for each other. Blake comes off as a bad boy-but who is he fooling? He's really a caring, loyal man (vampire). It's a definite read for any vampire fan and I would recommend this series for those looking for a new genre/theme to read.
