Tim Maleeny "smoothly mixes humor with a serious plot without sacrificing either," according to Publishers Weekly.

Stealing The Dragon, his novel about San Francisco’s Chinatown, was named a "Killer Book" by Independent Mystery Booksellers, and the follow-up Beating The Babushka was called ""a perfect reading experience" by Fresh Fiction.

His novel Greasing The Piñata was described as "a cracking good mystery" by Library Journal and won the Lefty Award for best humorous mystery of the year.

His stand alone Jump was described by Publishers Weekly as "a perfectly blended cocktail of escapism, with or without the beach towel", and Fresh Fiction said, "Multiple suspects make this unique whodunit intense, interesting and a great read!"

Maleeny’s short fiction has won the prestigious Macavity Award and appears in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine, Ellery Queen, Crimespree Magazine, and the anthologies Death Do Us Part, Uncage Me, and Thriller 2.

Crimespree Magazine says, "Tim Maleeny gives readers a fresh and fast take that enthralls." He currently lives and writes in San Francisco.
