My Mum has never liked driving. She didn't get her license until probably close to 40, but avoided it at all costs. I remember when I was probably 5 or 6 being really sick, it was snowing like mad outside, and she put her fears aside and drove me to the Dr. office. The car ended up stuck and we walked home, but as scary as it was for her she did it. She also started to drive us once or twice a week into Vancouver for dance lessons...driving there is nuts. I know how much she hates driving and when something really scares you think of that fight or flight response. I'm sure she had that every time but she did it anyway for us.
