Jayne Fresina

http://jaynefresinaromanceauthor.blogspot.com/

Jayne Fresina's epitaph will probably include the words, "she should have known better." She shuffles around the house in worn-out woolly socks, doesn't own a solitary t-shirt that isn't stained, talks to herself, sings Amy Winehouse in the shower, has a morbid fear of sewing machines and ironing boards, drinks too much coffee, would work for coconut cake, and spends five hours a day writing to maintain a relative degree of sanity.

Re: Sinfully Ever After (3:05pm December 2, 2014):

Thank you for giving some space to me today!

Re: Once Upon A Kiss (10:56am June 26, 2014):

LOL! Loving all these stories. It's good that we can laugh about them later. As my Nan used to say, "What doesn't kill you, can only make you stronger!"

Thanks everyone for stopping by to read and comment! I think probably my most embarrassing memories are of being shouted at for sipping my soup too loudly at a family wedding when I was about twelve. Oh, and also for spooning the soup from the wrong side of the bowl!

Hi Jeanne and Mary! Thanks for reading :)

Re: Miss Molly Robbins Designs A Seduction (1:47pm February 8, 2014):

Thank you all for stopping by and taking part!

Re: Miss Molly Robbins Designs A Seduction (7:36am February 7, 2014):

Thank you all and good luck! I really enjoyed writing Molly's story, particularly as she was with me through all four books in the series - starting out as a shy little girl who briefly appears in the first story. So it was extremely sad saying goodbye to her finally at the end! At least I get to share her with other readers now and they can see how she grew up to make her dreams come true!

Hi Sharon and Diane:) Thanks for stopping by!

Re: Miss Molly Robbins Designs A Seduction (7:18pm February 6, 2014):

Yes, Mary Ann, Molly Robbins certainly does grow throughout this book and so does Carver! I'm not sure who grows the most. Not sure what flour-butter might be -- I wondered if it might be a roux paste?

Re: Miss Molly Robbins Designs A Seduction (5:40pm February 6, 2014):

Hi, Anna. Yes, I am fascinated by the work of household servants in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries - all the rules they had to live by and the things they had to know. It was a tough life. I daresay I would not have been so fascinated if I had to live it though!

Re: Miss Molly Robbins Designs A Seduction (1:28pm February 6, 2014):

Yes, I can imagine gloves were tough to keep clean and prone to dirt, Karin, so a little perfume could mask some of the less pleasant aromas! LOL

Re: Miss Molly Robbins Designs A Seduction (12:54pm February 6, 2014):

Me too, Gail! At least the sun is out - even with a few feet of snow glistening beneath it! I'm looking forward to spring and hope we get one before summer comes this year.

Re: Miss Molly Robbins Designs A Seduction (12:21pm February 6, 2014):

Thanks, Anna, Colleen and L.!

We're pretty much buried in snow here too, Denise. I think we expect more on Sunday - good thing I have a lot of writing to do! :)

I'm sure she would, Richard!

Re: Miss Molly Robbins Designs A Seduction (10:30am February 6, 2014):

Pen, as much as I do love the snow and a change of seasons, by the end of winter I am ready for sun!!! Thanks, Jean - I would not advise you to try any of those recipes! Thanks, Bonnie and Pam - hope you get to read the book. And Ki - I KNOW you will grow to love him :)

Re: The Lady Mercy Danforthe Flirts With Scandal (1:56pm June 21, 2013):

Peggy - LOL - so sorry the excerpt cut off when you were engrossed! I hope you get the chance to read the whole book!

Re: The Lady Mercy Danforthe Flirts With Scandal (1:54pm June 21, 2013):

Thanks so much to all of you for stopping by! Laura, before the Hardwicke Law a marriage could take place ANYWHERE as long as it was conducted before an ordained clergyman of the Church of England. After the law passed marriage had to take place in a parish church of chapel of the C of E to be legally binding. That restriction was eventually removed though, by Parliament in the Marriage Act of 1836 which allowed non-conformists and Catholics to be married in their own places of worship.
The Act in 1836 also made it possible for non-religious civil marriages to be held in register offices which were set up in towns and cities.(info from the UK Parliament site - very interesting!)
